Japanese company seeks a Researcher in NY.

Hours: Mon-Fri 9am-5pm (lunch 1hr break)

Salary: $50k-$65k (DOE)

Office:NY

Requires a minimum of 2-3 in-office workdays per week; the remaining days may be worked remotely

Job Description / Qualifications

Perform each of the following work under the instructions of the Chief Representative and/or other Representatives in New York.

1. Work related to research on North American (mainly US) and Latin American (mainly Colombia, Venezuela and Peru) countries;

i. Research on politics and economy;

ii. Research on matters related to critical sectors; and

iii. Monitoring of Japanese and non-Japanese corporate activities.

2. Overall administration

i. Perform administrative work related to the maintenance of the New York Representative Office under the instructions of the Chief Representative and/or other Representatives;

ii. Assist visitors on business trips from other offices of the Company.

3. Public relations and networking

i. Serve as a point of contact for explanations to the public regarding the operations of the Company; and

ii. Establish network and connections with various counterparts including in other financial institutions.

4. Others

Handle such other work as deemed necessary by the Chief Representative and/or other Representatives from time to time.
