The opportunity
On the Design Research & Strategy team, our mission is to lay a user-centered and data-driven foundation for Adobe product design and development. As a Senior Experience Researcher, you will play a vital role in understanding the needs of current and future Adobe Firefly users. This is an outstanding opportunity to craft the future of Generative AI experiences across Creative Cloud.
What you'll do
- Assess a project’s scope, determine appropriate research questions, and identify appropriate research methods.
- Run research studies from start to finish, including developing a realistic research plan and materials, recruiting participants, and synthesizing data into findings.
- Advocate for the customer by articulating research findings and product ideas through clear and insightful presentations.
- Engage with different roles across the company and product teams to understand and influence business goals, system architecture, and product designs.
- Mentor junior staff and oversee contractors/vendors on more complex programs of study.
- Build alliances across the company to identify new partners, drive collaboration, and deeply understand the business context of research problems.
What you need to succeed
- An advanced degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Anthropology, Data Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in user research or a related field.
- Proven ability to handle areas (user/product/domain) that may be ambiguous or ill-defined.
- Proven ability to use multiple research methods and to explain the rationale for using each one.
- Outstanding analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with collaborators.
- Ambitious and proactive approach with a passion for crafting outstanding user experiences.
- Familiarity with or interest in the user experience of Generative AI tools, features, or models.
- Familiarity with or interest in Adobe’s Creative Cloud tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro etc).

Adobe Design creates tools that amplify the world’s ability to create and communicate. We’re a global team of designers, researchers, prototypers, content strategists, program managers, and more who work across Adobe’s three product lines: Creative Cloud, Document Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $121,800 -- $223,000 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
