Who we are looking for
As a Staff User Researcher, you will be a driving force behind our commitment to deliver exceptional user experiences. In this pivotal role, you will conduct detailed, hands-on micro-research and usability evaluations to uncover user insights, while also leading strategic user research initiatives that shape product vision. You will be an independent and proactive leader on this product team.
Key Responsibilities
User Research Strategy and Execution
Develop and implement a comprehensive Research strategy aligned with organizational goals and product roadmaps.
Conduct micro-level usability research to identify customer problems and perspectives, emphasizing the importance of detailed user insights.
Lead cross-functional research spanning multiple products or platforms, ensuring consistency in user experience.
Product Vision
Collaborate with leadership and product teams to define the long-term mission and tactical plan, integrating end-user needs and behaviors.
Advocate for human-centric design, fostering a culture that prioritizes customer understanding and diverse user needs.
Collaborator Engagement and Influence
Build strong relationships with collaborators across teams, including executives.
Influence decision-making at high levels by ensuring user insights inform product strategy.
Mentor and oversee a team of Designers, Product Managers, and Engineers conducting user research, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
Storytelling and Communication Mastery
Create compelling narratives using videos, data visualizations, personas, and journey maps to communicate research findings.
Exhibit excellent presentation and communication skills, inspiring teams to adopt user-centric approaches.
Qualifications
Proven experience in leading user research initiatives and influencing product outcomes.
Expertise in mixed methodologies, including usability testing, interviews, surveys, and data analysis.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and synthesis skills to translate data into strategic insights.
Excellent communication skills tailored to diverse audiences, from teams to executives.
Experience in leading, mentoring, and developing research teams.
Ability to build consensus and drive alignment across teams.
Nice-to-Haves
Track record of translating user insights into strategic recommendations within creative software.
Skills in data analysis and quantitative research.
Understanding of creative workflows and AI technologies in the context of user research.
Knowledge of Adobe’s creative products and their role in workflows.
Advanced degree or equivalent in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Design, or related fields.
