Who we are looking for
As a Staff User Researcher, you will be a driving force behind our commitment to deliver exceptional user experiences. In this pivotal role, you will balance detailed micro-research and usability evaluations with leading strategic user research initiatives to shape product vision. You will be an independent and proactive leader within your team.
Key Responsibilities
User Research Strategy and Execution
Develop and implement a comprehensive research strategy aligned with organizational goals and product roadmaps.
Conduct micro-level usability research to uncover detailed customer insights that impact user experience.
Lead cross-functional research efforts across multiple products or platforms, ensuring consistency in user experience.
Product Vision
Collaborate with leadership and product teams to define the long-term product vision, integrating end-user insights.
Advocate for human-centric design approaches, fostering a culture that prioritizes customer understanding and addresses diverse user needs.
Collaborator Engagement and Influence
Build strong relationships with collaborators across teams, including executive leadership.
Use your expertise to influence product strategy and decision-making at high levels.
Mentor and oversee a team of designers, product managers, and engineers conducting user research.
Storytelling and Communication Mastery
Create compelling narratives from user insights using various techniques such as personas, journey maps, and data visualization.
Communicate research findings effectively through presentations and written reports.
Inspire teams to adopt user-centric approaches in product development.
Qualifications
Proven experience in leading user research initiatives and influencing product outcomes.
Expertise in various research methodologies including usability testing, interviews, surveys, and data analysis.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
Excellent communication and presentation skills tailored to diverse audiences.
Experience in leading, mentoring, and developing research teams.
Exceptional ability to build consensus across teams and influence decision-making.
Nice-to-Haves
Experience translating user insights into strategic product recommendations within the creative software domain.
Skills in quantitative data analysis and research methods.
Understanding of creative workflows and processes.
Knowledge of AI technologies and their application in creative tools.
Familiarity with Adobe’s suite of creative products.
Advanced degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Design, or related fields.
