Job Summary

We are seeking a Mid-level Quantitative User Experience Researcher to join our team in the Bay Area (hybrid-remote work arrangement acceptable). In this role, you will define and measure quantitative UX goals and metrics, craft quantitative surveys to understand user behaviors and needs, and develop statistical models to enhance user experience. You will work collaboratively with a diverse team of Designers, Qualitative Researchers, Data Scientists, Engineers, and Program Managers to inform and impact all stages of product development with actionable research findings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and measure quantitative UX goals and metrics in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Craft quantitative surveys to effectively size user behaviors and needs.
  • Develop code and/or statistical models to understand and improve user experience.
  • Conduct empirical research using methods from various fields to understand user behavior and extract meaningful patterns from large data sets.
  • Examine existing data and product designs to generate hypotheses and plans for high-impact research.

Must-Have Skills

  • Proficiency in programming languages used for data analysis (e.g., Python, R).
  • Experience with research design utilizing various methods (e.g., usability studies, contextual inquiry, surveys).
  • Strong expertise in descriptive, inferential, and multivariate statistics, and experimental design.
  • Background in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Psychology, Anthropology, or a related field.
