Title: UX Researcher (Mixed Methods | Quantitative Focus)

Location: Mountain View, CA (Hybrid)

Duration: 6-month contract (possible extension)

About the Role

Google is hiring a UX Researcher to support Google Beam, an innovative 3D video conferencing platform designed to transform enterprise collaboration.

You will help shape how organizations adopt and experience this new technology by conducting research that informs product development, customer adoption, and go-to-market strategy.

This role is ideal for researchers who enjoy combining qualitative and quantitative methods to uncover meaningful user insights.

What You ll Do

  • Conduct mixed-methods UX research, including interviews, usability studies, and surveys
  • Analyze survey data and research datasets using R, Python, or statistical analysis tools
  • Apply statistical methods such as regression, ANOVA, and t-tests
  • Transform research findings into clear insights and compelling narratives
  • Present research results to product, marketing, and business teams
  • Help evaluate customer reactions to new technologies in real-world environments and trial deployments

Basic Qualifications

  • Master s degree or PhD in Psychology, Sociology, Communications, or a related field
  • Experience conducting UX research using qualitative and quantitative methods
  • Proficiency in R, Python, SPSS, SAS, or similar statistical tools
  • Experience running user interviews, usability studies, or survey research
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience researching AR/VR, immersive technology, or collaboration platforms
  • Experience with hardware products or emerging technology
  • Background in cognitive psychology experiments or eye-tracking research
  • Experience working with large cross-functional product teams
