User Experience Researcher

CTG is seeking a UX Researcher for our client in the RTP, NC area.

Title: UX Researcher

Duration: 12+ months contract, with possibility for extension/perm with the client

Location: RTP, NC HYBRID (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Responsibilities

• Conduct end-to-end user research for hardware, software, AI, and AR/VR products.
• Discover user behavior, needs, and motivations to inform product design.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide actionable insights.
• Analyze qualitative and quantitative data using tools like STATA or SPSS.
• Communicate research findings clearly to stakeholders and teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s with 7+ years experience, Master’s with 5+, or PhD with 2+ years in UX Research, Human Factors, HCI, Cognitive Psychology, or related fields.
• Strong experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Portfolio demonstrating research breadth and actionable insights.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Local to Raleigh/Durham, NC and able to work onsite 3 days/week.

Preferred

• Experience with survey design, statistical analysis, and UX research tools (UserZoom, Dovetail, etc.).
• Background in technology or startup environments.
