Responsibilities

Use expert knowledge of Human Factors engineering discipline and Industry standards, processes and tools in order to complete and ensure compliance of various projects.

Human Factor Engineer

Coordinating and presenting regulatory subject matter as an expert to help lead challenging certification approaches.

Leading end user acceptance evaluations for associated design implementations, to include coordination with various Systems Engineering and Applications (ESEA) teams, Centers of Excellence (COE) product teams and Test subjects (e.g. pilots, maintenance personnel).

Requirements

BS degree in Human Factors Engineering, or Psychology degree with relevant aerospace experience.

Strong knowledge of systems engineering and Human Factors disciplines in product development.

Pilots License with Instrument rating, ideally on multiple aircraft types is a plus

6 or more years with direct application of Human Factors activities.

Experience with aircraft avionics systems software and hardware.

Experience with aircraft installation design.

Experience with experiment design methodologies.

Knowledge of regulatory and industry standards (FAA, RTCA, ARINC, SAE).

Knowledge of software development methods and practices.

Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to influence customers and leadership.

Demonstrated capability in requirements development/management, implementation reviews and verification activities.

bility to execute to a vision that is aligned with aerospace Human Factors goals & business needs.

dvanced Degree such as a Master of Science (MS) or PhD in Human factors discipline is a plus.
