UX Researcher

Eliassen Group

Description

Remote role. Must be based in the Denver, CO area to accommodate the 1–2 week per quarter onsite requirement in Greenwood Village

We are seeking a seasoned, dedicated UX Researcher who thrives at the intersection of human behavior and product strategy. This is a pure research and strategy role—ideal for a specialist who is passionate about uncovering deep user insights and has no desire to pivot into UI/UX design.

You will act as a strategic partner to our product teams, functioning with a high degree of autonomy to lead end-to-end research initiatives. Beyond execution, you will serve as a UX Evangelist, teaching stakeholders the value of research and translating complex data into actionable business strategies.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $50-60/hr. w2

Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Research: Lead the planning, execution, and analysis of multi-method research studies, including usability testing, surveys, and in-depth interviews.
  • Strategic Influence: Translate research findings into high-level strategy and present insights to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Evangelism: Actively promote a research-first culture, educating cross-functional partners on methodologies and the ROI of user insights.
  • Mixed Methods: Utilize both qualitative and quantitative data to provide a holistic view of the user experience for client-facing products.
  • Autonomy: Manage project timelines, recruitment, and stakeholder expectations independently with minimal supervision.

Experience Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Dedicated UX Researcher. (Candidates with a "Generalist" or "UX Designer" background will not be considered)
  • Methodology: Expert proficiency in usability testing, survey design, and interviewing techniques.
  • Client-Facing Product Focus: Proven track record of conducting research for external-facing, consumer, or B2B products.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and presentation skills; ability to manage complex stakeholder personalities and "sell" the value of research.
  • Organizational Mastery: Strong time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Consulting Background: Experience working within a top-tier consultancy (e.g., Slalom, McKinsey, etc.) is a significant plus.
  • In-Person Testing: Experience conducting in-person interviews or lab-based usability testing.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a computer-related field, or equivalent experience.

Submission Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

  • Portfolio: A link to a true website portfolio is required. We cannot accept Word documents or PDF portfolios. Your portfolio must demonstrate clear research case studies, methodologies used, and the business impact of your findings.
