Role Description
The Human Factors Engineer will serve as an integral part of the air traffic control human factors team at Fort Hill Group. They will participate in a variety of projects aimed at improving human performance and safety in the National Airspace System (NAS). The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing human performance and safety challenges, analyzing human performance data and supporting regulations and procedures, identifying potential solutions, and assisting in the implementation of recommendations in support of the client's human factors goals and objectives. The successful candidate will be expected to clearly present key research findings to stakeholders and contribute heavily to the development of research reports.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Human Factors principles and Human Factors Engineering processes, with an understanding of their application in real-world operations
- Experience in conducting Task Analysis and Usability Assessments to assess human performance and system interaction
- Experience collecting and analyze a variety of qualitative and quantitative data related to human performance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work on complex systems and produce actionable insights
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in diverse, multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience in aviation or air traffic control is highly desirable
- Advanced degree in Human Factors, Industrial Engineering, Cognitive Psychology, or a related field is preferred
- At least 6 years of work experience in human factors, aviation, or air traffic control
