Job Responsibilities
- Develop breakthrough research in the field of quantum error-correcting codes and/ or quantum algorithms and demonstrate their advantages over SOTA classical techniques.
- Publish research papers in reputed scientific journals and conferences. Showcase the work via presentations in conferences and in form of invited talks as well as poster presentations.
- Advance the quantum team as well as FRA goals through academic collaborations.
Essential Requirements
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, and related fields with extensive research background in quantum computing theory.
- Excellent publication record in the field of quantum computing theory.
- Substantial research experience working in TCS, Physics, quantum information processing, and related fields.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong research background and knowledge in classical and/ or quantum error-correction.
- Stellar publication record in the field of quantum computing at strong venues such as top-tier TCS conferences (FOCS, STOC, SODA, ICALP, etc.), theoretical quantum events (QIP, TQC, etc.), and/ or leading journals (SICOMP, JACM, PRL, PRA, etc.).
- Track record of presentations at leading conferences, workshops, and invited talks at academic venues.
- Coding experience in Python, C++, or JAVA.
Fujitsu salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each situation. The pay range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: specific skills, qualifications, experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. The pay range for this position is estimated at $119,000 to $170,000 USD. Additionally, this role may be eligible for a short-term incentive based on company results and individual performance.
