About the Role
As a part of our dynamic team, you will utilize a mix of qualitative and quantitative research methods, including surveys, focus groups, field studies, usability tests, and one-on-one interviews. Your perspective and expertise are crucial in fostering a deeper understanding of the relationship between technology and society.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product and business teams to identify and explore impactful research topics.
- Lead the research domain by advocating for user needs while promoting innovative product solutions.
- Design and implement comprehensive primary research studies using diverse methodologies.
- Create research studies that analyze both user behavior and attitudes.
- Navigate ambiguous and fast-changing environments to prioritize research plans and deliver crucial insights collaboratively with stakeholders.
- Effectively communicate research findings and suggestions in engaging and informative ways.
- Work cross-functionally with design, product management, content strategy, engineering, and marketing teams.
- Generate valuable insights that inspire ideation and evaluate design efficacy.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience in user experience, applied research, or product development; or a Master's degree with 8+ years; or a PhD with 5+ years of pertinent experience.
- Demonstrated experience in user experience, applied research settings, or product development.
- Proficient in conducting In-Depth Interviews, Focus Groups, Concept Testing, or Usability Testing.
- Proficient in programming languages such as R, SQL, STATA, SPSS, or similar.
- Experience in applying statistical analysis methods including Regressions, ANOVA, and T-Tests.
- Hands-on experience executing primary research is highly desirable.
- Ability to translate research findings into compelling strategic narratives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in a human behavior-related field, such as Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Communication, Information Science, Media Studies, Computer Science, or Economics.
Compensation
The salary ranges from $164,000/year to $227,000/year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
