RESPONSIBILITIES

You’ll champion the customer by identifying and removing pain points, placing their needs at the heart of everything we do.
Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to champion what good looks like for ecommerce UX design.
Work in collaboration with other designers and researchers, and take advantage of knowledge sharing, while having autonomy in your work.
Develop interactive prototypes, and accessible UI designs that effectively communicate the intended user experience.
You’ll contribute to the New Look Design System to maintain consistency and improve usability across our digital products.
Support our senior researcher in user testing, and run moderated and unmoderated studies yourself, including analysis and playback to stakeholders.
Build good connections with our stakeholders through excellent communication and collaborative workshops (eg. Design Critiques, Research activities)
Invest in our Design and Research Community by sharing progress – fostering collaboration and strengthening our UX and design culture.

ABOUT YOU

Experience in product discovery, working with other designers, researchers, product managers and developers to discover how best to improve our products.
Able to understand and discuss technical concepts, use quantitative and qualitative data to prioritise user needs effectively.
Experience of running moderated and unmoderated user research and knowing what type of research to use when.
An advocate for design thinking and agile methodologies
Good knowledge of using design tools such as Figma, and curious about leaning into generative AI tools such as Chat GPT, V0, Bolt, Loveable
An understanding of user-centred design principles, information architecture, with a good sense of aesthetics when designing interfaces.
Experience of successfully delivering design and research outputs in challenging environments. You can help simplify complex ideas and maximise business value while meeting customer needs.
Great communication, collaboration, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence design decisions. Able to drive asynchronous communication through internal comms tools like Slack
Experience of using and contributing to Design Systems that span multi-channels, platforms, and third parties across app and web.
You create a positive team spirit, focus on team engagement and embody the New Look values.
Bonus: Experience designing for content management systems and working closely with marketing and email teams
