Human Factors Engineer 41

Oxford Solutions is seeking a Principal Usability and Human Factors Engineer for a hybrid contract role in Valhalla, NY.

This role supports regulated medical product development with a focus on usability validation, labeling, and regulatory submissions. The ideal candidate brings senior-level experience leading usability studies and working cross-functionally in an R&D environment.

Responsibilities

• Support regulatory submissions related to usability validation
• Document usability validation activities and respond to regulator inquiries
• Develop and test labeling and IFU updates in partnership with packaging teams
• Plan and execute summative usability testing with external agencies
• Review and update usability evaluation procedures
• Collaborate with engineering, regulatory, quality, and packaging teams

Qualifications

• 8 -12 years of usability or human factors engineering experience
• Experience designing and leading usability evaluations and validation studies
• Background in regulated products; medical device or IVD experience preferred
• Strong documentation and cross-functional communication skills
