Founding Designer (UI/UX)

Seapoint

About Seapoint

Seapoint is an early-stage, founder-first bank, on a mission to help start-ups scale. We are a product-led software company, with a world-class team, and are backed by top-tier VC funds. We replace slow, frustrating and expensive processes, hacked from legacy banks and point-solution fintechs.

This is a rare chance to shape something early with serious ownership and influence. No legacy, no bloated org - just a sharp team with a clear mission.

We have a small product team that work together 2-3 days a week in London (central office location coming soon) and get together with the rest of the team in Dublin once a quarter.

We believe amazing talent comes from all kinds of life journeys. If what’s written below speaks to you, even if you don’t check every box - we’d love to hear from you (please include a link to your portfolio in your CV when you apply).

Why this role is special

→ Build the foundations

There’s no design system (yet), and our brand is still evolving. You’ll help shape both, from the visual language to the building blocks.

→ Design from first principles

We’re redesigning every workflow from the ground up, based on actual jobs to be done. This means that already today our product is so different from other newbanks

→ Join a high-velocity, product-led team

We’ve helped scale fintechs like Stripe, Tide and Wise. Speed of iteration is high, and the ambition to build something enduring is even higher.

→ Stay close to the craft

You’ve probably led teams before, and will again. But right now, you want to design. This is a hands-on IC role with real ownership.

What you'll do

  • Design key product experiences end-to-end
  • Prototype, test, and iterate fast, whether that’s in Figma, AI or whatever gets us there faster
  • Work closely with product and engineering to ship new features
  • Develop our visual identity and design system from scratch
  • Help shape our brand & design across product and marketing
  • Spend time with users to ground design in real workflows

You might be a fit if...

  • You’ve shipped real products in fast-moving environments and have experience on both web and mobile
  • You’ve taken a product from 0-1 and have worked as the solo designer before
  • You care about systems and structure as much as craft and polish
  • You move fast, but never lose sight of quality
  • You bring product thinking to your design work
  • You’ve worked in fintech or on complex, regulated products (nice to have)
  • You might have managed before, but you get more buzz from being an IC than managing others
