DescriptionAssist in planning, leading, and formulating user-centered design strategies and solutions for experiences and initiatives using insights gathered from moderately complex profile research projects, psychology, and UX best practices. Serve as a change agent, exploring new ways to solve moderately complex problems. Collaborate cross-functionally to conduct research, analyze data, uncover opportunities, and formulate innovative solutions that deliver value and create exceptional experiences. Work under limited supervision from higher-level peers and/or leadership on moderately complex projects and analysis, exercising judgment within defined procedures and practices.

ResponsibilitiesAct as a consultative and advisory resource to various levels and functions within the design and product teams to identify research topics and plan research initiatives for both generative and evaluative purposes.

Evaluate and analyze the user experience by leading projects end-to-end; develop guides and screeners, moderate sessions, analyze findings, synthesize data, prioritize, and deliver results.

Lead the development and maintenance of experience and journey maps throughout project lifecycles.

Gather, analyze, and develop user stories that accurately capture user needs.

Conduct research using qualitative methods and select quantitative methods such as surveys.

Communicate and present findings compellingly; tailor research findings to the audience; influence organizational change and alignment.

Package insights into tools and assets (personas, design principles, scenarios, workshops) for designers, product managers, and marketers.

Support team members in translating research findings into innovative solutions to address user and business problems, delivering measurable outcomes.

Create artifacts, educational tools, and processes to promote UX Research within the organization.

Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to champion user-centric approaches based on research findings and feedback.

Serve as liaison regarding research and how findings relate to other channel services.

Utilize strategies and tools to enhance value for users efficiently and effectively.

Perform analysis to quantify benefits and value of features or enhancements for prioritization and justification.

Lead user experience initiatives across work streams.

Perform other duties as assigned.

QualificationsExperience in user experience, market, or consumer research, project management, and strategic analysis.

Proficiency in multiple research methodologies, including usability studies, ethnography, interviews, journey mapping, eye-tracking, surveys, focus groups, card sorting, persona development, benchmarking, and other user testing techniques.

Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects with minimal guidance.

Experience with third-party UX research platforms.

Experience with quantitative market research methods and behavioral analysis.

Proficiency in creating research deliverables such as frameworks, videos, and toplines.

Knowledge of financial industry practices, products, and services.

Experience working with all levels of an organization, building relationships through rapport, trust, diplomacy, and tact.

Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, XP, Lean).

Strong communication skills, with the ability to synthesize and present ideas visually, verbally, and in writing.

Skills in research, analysis, problem-solving, and negotiation.

Proficiency in word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and presentation tools.

Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred: background in tech, product development, or design; experience with design thinking.
