Pay Rate: $70.00-$85.00 per hour (w2)
Job Description
UX Researcher will support research for its factory robotics initiative. This role partners closely With the lead UX researcher and contributes to the execution and synthesis of robotics UX research. You will support user research involving both digital interfaces and physical human robot interactions.
In this role, you will focus on hands-on qualitative research, including in-person contextual inquiries, usability testing, and interviews. You will assist with study setup, data collection, and synthesis and contribute to research findings and insights that help translate user needs into impactful robotics applications.
The ideal candidate is collaborative, detail-oriented, and experienced in supporting qualitative UX research in technical environments.
As a UX Researcher, you'll
Support qualitative research activities such as contextual inquiries, usability testing, interviews, and in-person observations.
Assist with research study planning, logistics, and preparation under the guidance of the lead UX researcher.
Conduct note-taking and documentation during interviews and research sessions.
Help synthesize research findings and contribute to insights that inform design and product decisions.
Collaborate with researchers, designers, and engineers to translate research insights into actionable recommendations.
Support research involving both digital interfaces and physical human-robot interaction systems.

The Role We are looking for a UX Researcher to support research for our factory robotics initiative.
This role partners closely with the lead UX Researcher, contributing to the execution and synthesis
of robotics UX research. You will support user research involving both digital interfaces and
physical human-robot interactions. In this role, you will focus on hands-on qualitative research,
including in-person contextual inquiries, usability testing, and interviews. You will support study
setup, data collection, and synthesis, and contribute research findings and insights. This position is well-suited for a researcher who enjoys working in real-world environments, is comfortable
supporting complex, in-person research, values close collaboration, and has experience supporting generative and evaluative qualitative research efforts. Some domestic travel may be required. Robotics division builds exciting, groundbreaking robotics capabilities. In this role, you will help translate user needs into impactful robotics applications.
Required skills
Qualifications Undergraduate or Graduate degree in HCI, Interaction Design, or a related field, and 4-7 years of experience supporting UX or qualitative research in industry or academic labs Hands-on experience supporting qualitative research, including note-taking for interviews,
contextual inquiries, usability testing, and in-person observation, under the guidance of a lead researcher Experience participating in collaborative synthesis of research findings Familiarity with Figma for testing prototypes and organizing research notes/artifacts Clear written and verbal communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with researchers, designers, and engineers Ability to travel domestically 4–6 times per year Ability to stand for long periods of time while conducting field research in potentially loud environments
Ideal candidate profile
Bonus Qualifications Experience testing interfaces for physical or embodied systems, such as robots or hardware Experience producing attractive visuals and layouts for research reports and presentations Familiarity with Microsoft Teams Experience supporting research with more specialized user groups, including domain experts or technical users
