Our client, a rapidly growing tech innovator, is seeking a talented and experienced Senior UX Researcher to join their fully remote product development team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our digital products by conducting in-depth user research to uncover user needs, behaviors, and motivations. You will design, execute, and analyze a variety of research studies, including user interviews, surveys, usability testing, ethnographic research, and heuristic evaluations. Your insights will directly inform product strategy, design decisions, and feature development, ensuring our products are intuitive, engaging, and valuable to our users. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and engineers, translating research findings into actionable recommendations and advocating for the user throughout the product lifecycle. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and a proven track record of applying research to drive product innovation. You should be comfortable working independently in a remote setting, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and presenting complex findings to diverse stakeholders. A passion for understanding human-computer interaction and a commitment to user-centered design principles are essential. Key Responsibilities

Plan, design, and conduct comprehensive user research studies across the product development lifecycle. Employ a range of qualitative and quantitative research methods, including usability testing, user interviews, surveys, card sorting, and diary studies. Analyze research data to identify user needs, pain points, and opportunities for improvement. Synthesize research findings into clear, actionable insights and present them effectively to cross-functional teams and leadership. Collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and engineers to define research objectives and integrate user feedback into product roadmaps. Develop user personas, journey maps, and other artifacts to represent user understanding. Advocate for user-centered design principles and ensure the user voice is represented in all product decisions. Contribute to the development and refinement of research methodologies and best practices within the organization. Manage multiple research projects concurrently, adhering to timelines and project goals. Mentor and guide junior UX researchers, fostering their professional development. Stay current with the latest trends and advancements in UX research and HCI.

Qualifications

Master's or PhD in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Information Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years of experience conducting UX research in a product development environment. Proven expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. Demonstrated ability to translate research findings into impactful product design and strategy recommendations. Experience with various research tools and platforms. Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Experience working effectively in a remote, collaborative team environment. A portfolio showcasing a range of UX research projects and deliverables.
