Job Title: Human Factors Engineer/Principal Human Factors Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Human Factors Engineer or Principal Human Factors Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the operability of evolving aircraft hardware and software systems by US military flight and maintenance crews.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Systems Engineering and experience with Human Factors best practices and specified sections of MIL-STD-1472. You will contribute to Human Factors Analyses, including Task Analyses and Predictive Workload Analyses, Usability studies, Workload, and Situational Awareness surveys.

Your responsibilities will include conducting computer-based and empirical accessibility assessments from both an operator and maintainer perspective. You will also author and support program documentation of HFE processes and products in a format consistent with US Military Data Item Descriptions.

Additionally, you will collaborate with Design Integrated Product Teams to ensure evolving design addresses program needs and adheres to Human Interface design requirements. You will also support Airworthiness analysis, artifact development, and compliance summaries.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 2 years of experience, or a Master's degree in a related field and 1 year of experience.
  • Strong background in Systems Engineering and Human Factors best practices.
  • Experience with Human Factors Analyses, including Task Analyses and Predictive Workload Analyses.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex technical information orally and in writing.
