UI/UX Desiner
Dify
About the Role
As an UI/UX Designer at Dify, you will lead the design of user interfaces for our AI development platform. You'll work closely with product managers, engineers, and marketing staffs to create seamless and powerful experiences for the customers.
This role is for someone who thrives in high-agency environments, enjoys deep collaboration with technical teams, and is passionate about making cutting-edge technology accessible through thoughtful design.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end UI design process—from research and wireframing to high-fidelity mockups, prototyping, and developer handoff.
- Design intuitive interfaces for complex AI and developer workflows, such as prompt engineering, pipeline orchestration, model management, and observability tools.
- Develop and maintain a scalable, cohesive design system that aligns with Dify’s brand and supports rapid product iteration.
- Collaborate directly with engineers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation and consistent user experiences.
- Conduct user research and usability testing with developers and AI practitioners to validate design decisions and uncover opportunities.
- Advocate for UI excellence and contribute to raising the design bar across the product and organization.
Minimum requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experiences: 3+ years of UI/UX design experience, with a strong emphasis on visual and interaction design for complex web applications.
- Tools: Expertise in Figma (components, variables, prototyping) and modern design tools.
- High Agency Mindset: You don’t wait for instructions. You proactively identify problems, propose solutions, and drive projects forward with minimal oversight. You thrive in ambiguity and take full ownership of design outcomes.
- Strong Understanding of AI Engineering / DevTools: You have experience designing for technical users (developers, data scientists, ML engineers) and are familiar with concepts like APIs, model training, LLMs, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure. You know what a good developer tool feels like—and how to make it better.
- Portfolio Required: You must provide a portfolio or personal website showcasing your work. We want to see case studies that demonstrate your UI design process, problem-solving skills, and impact—especially for B2B, SaaS, AI, or developer-focused products.
Bonus
- Excellent communication skills: able to articulate design rationale to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Language Proficiency: Strong bilingual communication skills in both English and Chinese (verbal and written), capable of seamless collaboration in multinational teams and reading English technical documentation.
- Experience with data visualization, CLI/IDE integrations, or designing for AI/ML platforms.
