User Experience Researcher

Title: Senior Design Researcher

Location: Burbank, CA - 91522 (hybrid - 3 days onsite)

Duration: 1-year plus extension /conversion possible

Role Summary

The Senior Design Researcher leads user-centered research for internal web-based platforms supporting studio business users. This role drives research strategy, execution, and insight synthesis to simplify complex workflows, improve decision-making, and embed a research-driven culture across cross-functional teams.

Core Responsibilities

• Define and own research strategy aligned to business goals
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative research (interviews, workshops, usability testing, surveys)
• Translate insights into personas, journey maps, mental models, and experience maps
• Present findings clearly to product, design, and technical stakeholders
• Mentor and coach designers and partners on user-centered practices
• Partner with UX, Product Owners, Business Analysts, Engineers, and Scrum teams
• Advocate for end users throughout iterative agile delivery
