Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lead UX Researcher to join our Monetization team. This role emphasizes user experience research coupled with leadership and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders. Your expertise will help us balance speed and rigor in research, translating insights into impactful product recommendations. As a leader, you will guide a team of researchers across various disciplines and ensure that our findings drive significant business outcomes. You will become a trusted partner to product stakeholders, communicating the value of user research through actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and prioritize both short-term and long-term research initiatives that yield the highest impact on business goals.
  • Effectively allocate resources and talent to focus on critical product decisions.
  • Deliver insights that are both actionable and relevant to strategic and tactical product design decisions.
  • Recruit, develop, and maintain a talented team of researchers across diverse skillsets.
  • Oversee research through all product phases, from early generative research to post-launch evaluation.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Design, Engineering, and other teams to integrate research into the product development lifecycle.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field, or significant experience in User Experience research with demonstrable business impact.
  • 18+ years of experience in research-related roles post-Bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years of direct management experience in coaching and developing researchers.
  • Proficient in managing various research methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience conducting end-to-end primary research, including designing, fielding, analyzing, and reporting data.
  • Proven ability to build teams over time through effective hiring and talent retention.
  • Demonstrated experience in aligning research strategy with business objectives.
  • Record of communicating research findings effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to collaborate with various cross-functional teams to achieve common objectives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or PhD in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, or related discipline.
  • Experience in advertising, monetization, or commerce-related topics.
  • Experience managing teams across different time zones.

Public Compensation

$193,000/year to $266,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
