Responsibilities of the UX Researcher

  • Collaborate with product teams to pinpoint critical research questions.
  • Design and implement studies that explore user behavior and attitudes, employing the most suitable methodologies.
  • Deliver insights that guide product teams in shaping medium and long-term strategies.
  • Draft and distribute surveys while interpreting responses to identify influencing factors.
  • Conduct research through a mix of quantitative and qualitative methods, analyzing findings with a focus on UX, HCI, and social sciences.
  • Work closely with fellow researchers to share expertise across a broad array of methodologies.
  • Engage with design, product management, data science, content strategy, marketing, and engineering teams to perform and disseminate research.
  • Act as a thought leader in the research domain, ensuring the voice of users informs product development.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in applied quantitative and qualitative product research.
  • A Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in fields related to human behavior such as Computer Science, HCI, Psychology, Sociology, Economics, Mathematics, etc.
  • Proficiency in creating comprehensive research plans with a solid research hypothesis formulation.
  • Knowledge of applied statistics, including descriptive statistics like correlation, T-tests, and regressions.
  • Experience in drafting and designing effective questionnaires, ensuring optimal structure and minimizing biases.
  • A broad understanding of qualitative research methods, including interviews, contextual inquiry, concept testing, and diary studies.
  • Ability to formulate both product and user experience-related questions.
  • Proven track record of effectively communicating research findings to cross-functional stakeholders using data storytelling and presentations.
  • Expertise in translating data into strategic insights for the business.
  • Adaptability in managing complex information in a dynamic environment.
  • Hands-on experience applying research skills in a business context.

Compensation ranges from $103,000 to $163,000 annually, with additional bonuses, equity options, and benefits. Each individual's compensation is determined based on their skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
