You will focus on domain and email experiences as well as cross-platform engagement. You are passionate about understanding user behaviors, needs, and motivations and highlighting them across the organization. As a senior-level contributor, you will work closely with Product and Design leadership to guide the direction and influence of Research - staying involved with the product teams and training their colleagues to maximize their ability to understand and act upon customer needs.You will report directly to the UX Director. This is a hybrid role working from our NYC office 2 days per week.You'll Get To…Guide and oversee multiple research projects simultaneously across Domains, Email & Growth product teams with the ability to prioritize effectivelyIdentify opportunities with Product leadership that inspire change within a major area of the business while executing and informing research on a Group and team level.Build and nurture partnerships with product managers, designers, data scientists, analysts, customer support, and engineers at all levels.Lead end-to-end, high impact exploratory research while simultaneously teaching and helping cross-functional teams conduct lightweight research on their own.Present to leadership and find compelling ways to illustrate research findings to influence stakeholders and product roadmaps.Advocate for research within the organization and on your teams by guiding stakeholders toward the best areas of study, methodologies, and a shared understanding of our users.Identify patterns in research happening across teams and establish core insights that impact ongoing prioritization.Collaborate with Marketing stakeholders to conduct strategic research—including competitive analysis, quantitative studies for feature prioritization, and qualitative explorations—to inform product positioning, messaging, and roadmap decisions.Who We're Looking For9+ years of UX Research experience.Deep understanding of UX/Design research methods, knowing when and how to apply different methods and customize them to teams' needs and constraints.Ability to create and lead mixed method research studies and also instruct Non-researchers on research fundamentals and best practices when conducting lightweight research.Experience creating and owning research processes end-to-end and influencing product and teams' direction at a leadership and team level.Ability to provide focus and direction to multiple stakeholders when faced with ambiguity and technological constraints.Basic familiarity with analytics and quantitative research and comfort working alongside quantitative research partners.UX focused with a passion for high quality, sensible designBenefits & PerksA choice between medical plans with an option for 100% covered premiums including medical, dental, and visionSupplemental Life and Disability Insurance plansFertility and adoption benefitsHeadspace mindfulness app subscriptionGlobal Employee Assistance ProgramRetirement benefits with employer matchFlexible paid time off20 weeks for parental leave and up to 12 weeks to care for an ill family memberPretax commuter benefitEducation reimbursementEmployee donation match to community organizations8 Global Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)Dog-friendly workplaceFree lunch and snacksPrivate rooftopHack week twice per yearCash Compensation Range: $185,500 - $225,000 USDThe base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors.In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), Squarespace employees are eligible to be granted an option to purchase our common stock.About SquarespaceSquarespace is a design-driven platform helping entrepreneurs build brands and businesses online.
